Our story
Quail & Cross began as a backyard covey and a simple idea: raise a few birds really well instead of a lot of birds fast. Today our coturnix flock is hand-fed, hand-collected, and kept on clean bedding with room to dust and forage.
We hatch our own replacements in a homemade incubator — you can even watch a hatch live below — and we sell only what we'd happily set on our own table.
Low-stress covey with space, cover, and daily care.
Quality feed, fresh water, no shortcuts on health.
Our own breeding line, hatched right on the homestead.
Every order supports our little homestead directly.
Watch live
Our homemade hatch-cam streams straight from the incubator during hatching season. Watch chicks pip, zip, and take their first wobbly steps — usually 17–18 days after we set the eggs.
Live during hatching season on our YouTube channel. When we're off-air, the player shows our latest videos — subscribe here to get notified when we go live.
